Sargassum

There is this type of seaweed that we see on the southeast US coast. It is found in the Atlantic Ocean, particularly in a region known as the Sargasso Sea. When strong east winds blow for a few days the seaweed is blown inshore and many of it winds up scattered on the beach. This image is from the other day after a couple of very northeast windy days. I thinks it adds a great line leading to the rising sun.
