Loggerhead Sunrise

I know, another sunrise beach picture from me. Well it is no secret that I love the beach first thing in the morning. But, in this image if you look right above the fence post on the right in the image, you will see an orange taped off area. This is a loggerhead turtle nest. The females return every year during the summer months to lay their eggs. In a few months the eggs will hatch and the young turtles will dig out and make their way back to the ocean. Only 1 in 50 will reach maturity to repeat the process.
